Since we gather a lot of our inspiration from our surroundings we chose ‘Paha’ (the Lakota word for ‘mountain’) so that it may serve as a constant reminder to embrace the beauty that is all around. We wanted to honor both the tribes that once resided here as well as the mountains of which we are so fond—for us, the name ‘Paha’ expresses these sentiments well. Our logo comes from a Nez Perce petroglyph of a big horn sheep – an animal that is completely designed for the mountains and survives even the most challenging of conditions with grace and agility.
